說明

Within VectorNet updated vector distribution maps, this targeted sand fly trapping was performed at chosen trapping sites in Moldova and Turkey based on the previous gap of knowledge analysis. In Moldova, the trapping aimed at update of the sand fly distribution, species composition and seasonality in Moldova, a country at the edge of sand fly distribution in Europe, compared to the data of a previous entomological survey performed in 2013-2017. In Turkey, field collections of sand flies were done in in Anatolia, eastern Turkey, as monthly collections conducted between April and November 2025 in Adana Province.

取樣方法

Sand flies were collected using CDC light traps unbaited (Moldova) or CO2-baited (Turkey).

研究範圍 "A total of 7 collection sites were sampled in August 2025 in Moldova. In addition, sand fly specimens were obtained from 2 sites for May-September 2024 and 2025 to obtain seasonal data. In Turkey, collections sites were sampled in 2025 in in 4 villages in Anatolia: Corten, Malihidirli, Otluk and Yagizlar between April and November 2025."

方法步驟描述:

  1. Step 1: field sampling of original data at pre-selected locations and/or prospective new localities identified in the field, Step 2: sand fly dissection, mounting and species identification by integrated taxonomy approach (morphological assessment, DNA barcoding, MALDI-TOF prtoein profiling).
