Description
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 98 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
Versions
The table below shows only published versions of the resource that are publicly accessible.

Sampling Methods
Sand flies were collected using CDC light traps unbaited (Moldova) or CO2-baited (Turkey).
| Study Extent | "A total of 7 collection sites were sampled in August 2025 in Moldova. In addition, sand fly specimens were obtained from 2 sites for May-September 2024 and 2025 to obtain seasonal data. In Turkey, collections sites were sampled in 2025 in in 4 villages in Anatolia: Corten, Malihidirli, Otluk and Yagizlar between April and November 2025." |
|---|
Method step description:
- Step 1: field sampling of original data at pre-selected locations and/or prospective new localities identified in the field, Step 2: sand fly dissection, mounting and species identification by integrated taxonomy approach (morphological assessment, DNA barcoding, MALDI-TOF prtoein profiling).
