Description

Within the context of VectorNet, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) publish regularly updated vector distribution maps, which are informed by a comprehensive review of the literature and data shared by experts, and also completed by targeted field studies. This study aimed at completing the distribution dataset for, in particular, Culex tritaeniorhynchus and other Culex species (such as Cs. modestus, Cx. theileri, Cx. perexiguus) in the Balkan countries and southern Italy. The obtained dataset includes all field data collected in June-October 2025 (657 data lines).

Data Records

The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 657 records.

This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
