說明

SURVector: One Health surveillance and Vector monitoring for cross-border pathogens. Ticks and mosquitoes can transmit infectious diseases as vectors. In the SURVector project, we are setting up a nationwide mosquito and tick monitoring system. The aim of the project is to establish a one-health surveillance system for emerging pathogens, in which mosquitoes and ticks are collected and analysed for relevant pathogens. In this dataset we present the data on the mosquito monitoring part of this project from 2024. We have released this dataset to the public domain under a Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial 4.0 International (CC-BY-NC-4.0) license. We would appreciate it if you cite the provided DOI when using the data. 取樣方法

For the trapping of the adult mosquitoes BG-sentinel traps (Biogents), equipped with an additional CO2 release and a specific lure mimicking body scent (Biogents), have been used. Traps are operated from May – October, for 24 hrs within the first and the third week of the month. The traps are distributed throughout the country. However, surveillance is being intensified in areas where there is a risk of West Nile virus infection in order to detect a threat to the human population at an early stage. Thus, the distribution of the traps is based on following specifications (1) at least 1 trap per NUTS3 unit, (2) focusing on urban areas and (3) focusing on areas where previously human cases have been detected.

研究範圍 In 2024 Culicide were sampled at 68 locations in Austria. Traps were set up twice per month from May to October.

方法步驟描述:

  1. Method steps 1. Researchers from AGES defined the appropriate sampling protocol for the target species. 2. Fieldwork was planned and coordinated by AGES. 3. Data was collected in the field by personnel trained by experts. 4. Specimens were identifiy by experts at AGES. 5. The collected data was entered into an Excel database. 6. The data was verified and manually corrected by experts if necessary. 7. The data was converted to the Darwin Core Standard in accordance with Vecotornet specifications. 8. The data was checked again by experts at AGES and sent to Vectornet for validation. 9. The dataset is published and registered with GBIF. Quality control Data are collected using a predefined sampling protocol and checked by professionals
